Hit a boss with Multi-Shot when it stops moving, then use Stationary Shot if safe. Dodge or swap instead of taking a hit to finish charging. The ranged bonus is not permanent critical chance. Good critical-damage items can support direct skill damage, but do not apply the same critical multiplier to item procs. The simulator equips recommended candidates up to the slot limits. Remove or replace them to suit your run.
Start with either Gunpowder Sword or Invisible Knife. Add critical chance through Misfortune 2 and Thief's Black Steel Dagger. Favor Courage 2 and physical attack when physical damage dominates; invest in magic attack if magic procs become your main damage. Without either trigger item, use physical skill equipment.
